Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to an official contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. She was the youngest to win the 200-meter race in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 defeating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her events.
