Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest winner of the 200 meters at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title the following year, by beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in the events.
